Leyland Library Opens Festival Archives

The team at Leyland Library has put together a display all about Leyland Festival, charting the history of the town’s festival celebrations over the years. We think it is fantastic and hope people will call in to have a look at the display and learn more about the festival’s history.

The library has a specific archive section for Leyland Festival, which contains lots of information and treasured memories from festivals gone by, including programmes, photographs and procession routes over the years.

The library team is keen to hear from anyone who has any items they would like to be added to the Library’s Leyland Festival archive, they would be delighted to receive donations to add to their collection, preserving important memories of Leyland social history for future generations.

Leyland Library will also be joining us on Festival day too. They will have a display in the Leyland Town Team’s Afternoon Tea Tent and will be hosting a number of ‘story-time’ sessions in there too. They look forward to seeing you on the day.
