For 2023 the Leyland Festival Committee has been listening to you, so we are expanding our children’s activities for families visiting this year.
Sponsored by Jurassic Earth come along to our special area designed for all the family to enjoy, you will be able to meet Rapture or Rex and we have a wide range of fab fun things to make and do…
- Forest and den building workshops
- Crafts – create things to make and take away
- Storytelling workshops
- Magic show
- Bouncy castle & inflatable play
- Face painting
- Local community stand
- DJ Workshop
Most of all it won’t break the bank as some of these are free of charge, plus the children’s playground is also a short walk away for all your energetic little ones.
Afternoon Tea marquee –Sit down, relax, meet up with family and friends to enjoy a cuppa with delicious homemade cakes/scones and refreshments in our spacious marquee, all at a reasonable price! It’s also worth noting this is a fundraising activity for Leyland Town Team, with all monies raised donated to the Leyland Christmas Light Switch On event.
Quiet Zone – We understand that everyone has different needs so we so we have a designated space that children can retreat to when they feel overwhelmed and overloaded in what tends to be a noisy environment. It will offer space to stay calm, take a short time out and catch your breath, from what is a very busy event. We will also be opening earlier for those families that need to avoid the busy time.
Location – you will find us close to the archway entrance on Worden Park.
