Linking Leyland 2026: Four Charity Events Bringing the Community Together

Linking Leyland 2026 is set to bring people together once again through a series of charity events designed to get the community moving, raise vital funds and support brilliant causes.

Across the year, four events will take place, giving individuals, families, teams and local businesses the chance to get involved in something positive.

Four events are taking place

The first event is the Truck Pull on 31st May, where teams of four will compete to pull an XB or XG truck. It is set to be a great team challenge and a brilliant way to kick off the 2026 Linking Leyland calendar.

On 20th June, the St Catherine’s Hospice Cycle Event will take place, offering a choice of 85-mile, 60-mile and 25-mile cycle routes. With different distances available, the event gives cyclists of varying abilities the opportunity to take part and support an important local cause.

The third event will be held on 12th July at Cuerden Valley, with a 10km and 1km run/walk planned. Registration for this event will be opening soon, giving people the chance to take on a challenge in one of the area’s well-loved outdoor spaces.

The final event in the series is the Superhero Walk on 6th September. Participants will walk from Leyland Trucks to Derian House, raising money for the charity and bringing the community together for a meaningful cause. Registration will also be opening soon.

A community effort

Linking Leyland is about more than individual events. It is about local people, businesses, charities and supporters coming together to do something worthwhile.

Whether people are pulling a truck, cycling, running, walking, volunteering or simply cheering others on, every contribution helps make the events a success.
