Purrfect Dancing from Aim2Be Dance School

Once again, the Festival Parade will be a real highlight of Festival day. We have lots of different floats, walking groups, marching bands, cars and vintage vehicles all processing through the town centre spreading a carnival spirit.

One of the Groups taking part again this year is Aim2Be Dance School.

Hot on the heels of their dance teams coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in a huge Cheerleading Competition in Blackpool, dancers, teachers and parents are turning their focus to preparing for Leyland Festival.

Aim 2 B dance group is attending the festival for the 3rd time running, they have a lot of memories of performing at the Leyland Festival and their dancers love taking part.

We caught up with Amy amid busy Festival preparations;

“ We think the festival is fantastic for the community and it’s a great way for local businesses to support each other! We are definitely attending this year and looking forward to showing off our costumes.”

The dancers have been inspired by the Festival’s Musicals theme, with a float and performance inspired by Cats. The float is going to represent a dumpster with a cast of kittens and cats on board!

Behind the float, dancers will be performing some of their moves and one of the parents will be singing.

We cannot wait to see it. It sounds just purrrrfect!
